No one enjoys being put on hold…wait, no, that’s not true. We’ve heard many people ask to be put back on hold to hear the rest of the on hold messages they were listening to. But no, typically, no one likes to be put on hold.
People hate to wait, and being put on hold means waiting. To make matters worse, callers often end up confused by the silence on the other end of the line, or bored with the stock music and cold, canned rhetoric.
That’s not the case, however, for callers to Gering Valley Plumbing & Heating. Gering Valley’s latest message on hold production might just make callers forget they’ve been put on hold.
In less than sixty seconds, this uniquely crafted message hammers home one of the company’s most important points of emphasis: you can trust the technician coming into your home.
Listen here:
Male1: “Who’s there?”
Female: “Josh, its your mother.”
Josh: “Prove it.”
Mom: “What?!”
Josh: “How do I know your my mother?”
Mom: “Because I gave birth to you.”
Josh: “Still not buying it.”
Mom: “JOSH”
Josh: “Gering Valley Plumbing & Heating sends a text with a photo of the technician they are sending over.”
Mom: “So what.”
Josh: “So when the technician comes to the door, I know he is who he says he is.”
Mom: “Oooh good idea.”
Josh: “Yes, so now you know why I need to see your ID.”
Mom: “Josh, do I sound like your mother?
Josh: “Yes”
Mom: “Check the peephole. Do I look like your mother?”
Josh: “Yes.”
Mom: “Josh, is there any chance I am not your mother?”
Josh: “Slide your ID under the door!”
Mom: “JOSH!”
Josh: “Gering Valley Plumbing & Heating setting a higher standard, maybe a bit to high.”
