Interviews are often the best way to create a podcast. Bringing in unique perspectives makes your show more engaging and requires less creative energy.

Most podcasters have a local network of people who would make great interviews. Bringing them in studio makes the recording easy and, if done right, perfect quality. At some point, though, you may run out of local guests, or you may identify someone perfect for your show who can’t make it in to your studio. At this point you’ll need to conduct the interview remotely.

There are multiple ways to record remote interviews. They can be recorded over the phone or online. Communication apps like Skype allow for both audio and video calling, and can be recorded with high quality.
